Sinema dünyasının en saygın yayınlarından The New York Times, bu hafta film severleri heyecanlandıran bir liste paylaştı. 21. yüzyılın en iyi 100 filmini belirlemek için düzenlenen ankette, aralarında oyuncular, yönetmenler, eleştirmenler ve yapımcıların bulunduğu 500’den fazla sektör profesyoneli oy kullandı. Ortaya çıkan liste, son 25 yılın sinema tarihine damga vuran yapımları bir araya getiriyor.
Listenin birincisi, Bong Joon-ho’nun 2019 yapımı Parasite oldu. Yalnızca Güney Kore sinemasının değil, dünya sinema tarihinin de en önemli eserlerinden biri olarak kabul edilen film, En İyi Film dahil dört dalda Oscar kazanarak tarihe geçmişti. Parasite, listede There Will Be Blood, Mulholland Drive ve No Country for Old Men gibi modern klasikleri geride bırakarak tahtına sağlam bir şekilde yerleşti.
